Studio Photography Classes

Knightshades Photography are soon to be running one day events teaching would be photographers the basics of studio photography.
Students will spend four hours at Knightshades studio in West Calder where they will be guided through everything from setting up lights, taking meter readings and getting to know how to take high key and low key images in a studio environment.
Our fully qualified photography lecturer will be there to give one to one expert tuition, classes will be kept to a maximum of ten students to allow everyone to achieve their goal.
Models will be in attendance to give the students a real feel of what it is like to be a studio photographer.
Bring along your SLR camera but don't worry if you do not have an SLR camera as Knightshades will have a few cameras available on the day for students who don't have one.
The cost of the lesson is £30 and a light buffet, coffee and tea will be provided,

New Photography Studio in West Calder

West Lothian's newest photography studio opened its doors this week in West Calder,

The 4500 square foot studio is fully equipped with a bowens light system, soft boxes and an infinity cove.

West Lothian photographer Martin Sweeny will using the space for his own work but also intends to rent the studio to other photographers at a very cost effective rate.

With rental starting at £10 per hour it will be within the budget of most amateur photographers and students.

Martin has also set aside room for a gallery to show some of his work, the public are free to come in and have a look 7 days a week.

Knight Shades Photography promise an affordable solution to your wedding photography.

We have many satisfied customers from West Lothian and surrounding areas, our aim is to take the financial worry from your special day.

With pricing starting from as little as £450 you will have more money to spend on other wedding essentials.

Our basic package includes:

• An album or photo book containing around 30 pages of images. (with extra copies from £50 each)
• 2 DVD slide shows with the music of your choice. (with extra copies from £10 each)
• A CD with over 150 images (No Copyright) so you can re-print as many as you like for family and friends without the worry of paying through the nose to the photographer.

We can also supply a Gold C Class Mercedes with driver to take the bride/groom to the ceremony and to the reception for £100 extra, any transportation after the reception will be negotiable.

Wedding flowers can also be arranged through our partner florist.
